Quest of Life: Part 2 - The Rescue

Score : 7.4 good

This D-mod sort of starts where part I ended. Dink has to rescue a princess.

Storyline: The wizard Kelben from part I is back again. He gives Dink tasks and hints.

Map and graphics: The map is quite empty. The only new graphics are the ones in the title screen and those are not very good looking.

Music: There is only one midi, and that one is fair.

Good: It seems like there is more action in this D-mod; probably due to the fact there is a story and not just tasks given to Dink by letters and notes, as in part I.

Not so good: Enemies move very fast, even faster then in part I. There is no hint given how to get out of the room with thorns – I only found out what to do by reading the review of DethLord, after trying several times. On some screens there are too much enemies so you have some trouble moving around. When you think the adventure is about to begin – Dink is transported to a forest –the game has ended.

Overall: An enjoyable D-mod, but not as entertaining as part I. This is ‘just’ an adventure as so many D-mods are, whereas part I had something special going for it with the tasks and notes.

Fit for: If you want to play an adventure D-mod.

I had fun playing this dmod although I finished it pretty quickly
to my surprise. And I didn't actually succeed in rescuing the princess but the prince gave me the money anyways. And the next thing I know..the portal was fixed and the game was over. The enemies were pretty quick in some places but this just made it way more fun.Everything seemed to work pretty good otherwise. But I still hate those slime things.Bleh.
