This is a demo, featuring a new battle system, and enemy evolution.

Every time you kill an enemy, you get Enemy Points. You can cash those at an Enemy Points machine to
You can also save the points to level up, but your stats are increased with two points instead of one. Since it is more rewarding to just level up then to use the Enemy Points machine, it just seems more sensible to just level up by two points. You can buy at the machine Enemy Points for gold. Every time you level up, you get five extra Enemy Points.

The enemy evolution is about monsters gaining strength when you do. So there is no more an easy way to defeat any monsters when you are real strong, because when you are, the monsters are too. The good thing is that you get more Enemy Points past certain levels.

Storyline: There is not much of a story, but then again, this D-mod is to serve the new systems, not to tell a story.

Map and graphics: The map is done nicely. There are no new graphics.

Music: There is no music to this demo.

Good: The new systems work well. The conversation with the bonca is quite nice and humorous. Changing gold for points is a good idea. Often you have a lot of gold and there is no use for it, but with this system there is.

Not so good: I think that the fact that the monsters get tougher as you get stronger, deprives you of the joy of killing an enemy with just one blow after you have reached a certain level. I doubt if any new system will be used in any D-mods.

Overall: Two interesting new systems.

Fit for: If you want to see how this works.

I rate this one as introducing new systems, not as a D-mod, since the score would then be real low.

This isn't a playable dmod at all.
It's a demonstration of a new monster strenght system where the monsters level up along with your own leveling up. Along this is a new system of enemy hitpoints which you receive upon killing monsters and can spend at level up (to receive more strenght/defense etc) or at a machine for the same.

There is no plot, no storyline and really nothing to do but fighting, fighting and more fighting.
To me, the monsters are way too strong this way: spending a minute on a "normal" monster (not a boss) takes all the fun out of the fight.
There's three "people" to talk to and they basically don't tell you anything new (there is no plot). Getting to the hut to talk to number three had me already using ultimate cheat as I just couldn't be bothered to spend the time continuously fighting.

The new system *sounds* interesting, however, in practice I beg all dmod writers not to use it.

As an innovation: 7 for original thinking

However as it's positioned as a dmod, I'll rate it as such and that means the endscore is very low indeed.
