Storyline: Dink just arrived on an island when he is attacked. Since it is dark, he can not see who the monster is. It is your job to track down the monster and save the village in the mean time.

Map and graphics: The map is plain horrible. I never saw such a terrible map. Everything that could have been done wrong is done wrong in this D-mod. Tiles do not blend and are put next to each other without any consideration on how the result would look like. Water, grass, hills and sand are chopped into peaces or just stop halfway and the result is a very ugly looking map – and you get stuck a lot on the borders.
Sprites are a problem too: you can walk over one tree and get stuck in another one, border such as walls are not placed correctly so you get stuck in them when entering the screen. And there are no borders, which is ever so annoying.

Music: The music is good and suits the situation.

Good: When I saw the map, I thought that the gameplay would be really bad too, but in fact it is not. It is but a small adventure on a small map, but it does its work all right and makes that you want to finish the adventure. The interaction with the people is not that good – it could be made more interesting – but all you need to know is told. Since it is only a small map, it is quite surprising that so much can be done in this adventure. Perhaps that that surprise also came out of the fact that usually when a map is bad, the gameplay and story is also not very interesting – so I was pleasantly surprised in this case.

Not so good: Apart from the map with no borders and the sprites, there are a few other bugs. When trying to talk to the wizard to tell him I solved the riddle, the game froze. You are supposed to only have a screenlock after having talked with the wizard – at least, that is my guess – but I had one when I had not solved the riddle yet, so I had to load an earlier game.

Remark: I rate the map a 0, but the adventure a 6.5. If the map and sprites would be all right and the adventure and conversation extended a bit – this could be a fairly good D-mod.

Overall: Horrible map, playable adventure.

Fit for: If you do not mind the map.
