Three people judged the D-Mods, myself, MsDink and Scratcher.

Here's how the voting went:

The Blacksmith's Trail

Scratcher - 1
Sparrowhawk - 2

"Very nice mapping didnt find any hardness errors, like how the people sprites are randomly chosen as you enter the screen, great story, LOTS of carnage. Felt herding was a bit of an issue, I would have liked to see some sprite separation with them going different directions which would increase the difficulty. This is a really excellent dinkish game with awesome carnage levels and a newish look. The new end boss was a bit *shiney* for the game but I still feel that the overall atmosphere was right on the mark. For the criteria of the contest as I saw it in the begining, this is the one I feel came closest. Polished entry and a pleasure to play. "

"Sweet zombie apocalypse dmod. Excellent atmosphere and well carried out story, this ranks as one of the best romps on TDN."

"Loved the atmosphere on this one, the mapping looked really good."

Power of Blood
MsDink - 2
Scratcher - 3
Sparrowhawk - 1

"Bit of a toss up for first place with this one - I struggled to decide but in the end some of the glitches caused the other to win out. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and the quest (for vials of blahhd) but I was a little let down by lack of 'people red stuff' although the splash screen was pretty red looking . there was plenty of 'animal/monster red stuff' which can also constitute carnage. The "new" in this was good, some of the mapping quite *pretty* and I loved the idea of it. I like that he borrowed something from the unused files as well as changed some of the original sprites - really enjoyed this one, a hell of a good effort! "

"This is the longest, most innovative, and just plain fun entry. Although it features plenty of blood and murder, I felt that carnage was a little bit on the backseat in this one, hence placing it third."

"Very close to getting pushed to 2nd place because of lack of carnage, but then the plot is based on the slaughter of an entire village, vials of blood and general rampaging. A great D-Mod that I thoroughly enjoyed playing."

Knight Soup

"Found this to also be well made, the player had to work for it but there was lots of blaahd. This dropped down the list in my book because of the lag when I changed screens (it was quite pronounced), not creating his own maps was also disappointing, when other sprites did the killing - Dink still got the points which gave no incentive to roll up your sleeves and get in there and pulverise everything. It felt like it was over too soon, the music fit well - making me feel rushed/stressed and the fact the last fairy told me a secret (that to find I would have had to play again) didnt make me want to have another go - therefore placing it 3rd. I did however enjoy the 'changes' in the end boss for a laugh and I won't look at those bleedin ducks in the same way again - scary little suckers!"

"Fun action game. Branching paths were assumedly there to increase replay value, but they just pissed me off. Bonus points for extra carnageous blood splatter deaths."

"Huge splorts of blood when killing people make this D-Mod a proper bloodbath! Fun to play but doesn't quite beat the first two."

Enter the Dead Dragon Carcass

Scratcher - 4

"This map was bordering on bland with it being pretty similar all through out, enjoyed the screams (all different) but still, the game felt a little pointless. Lots of new stuff, liked the new kinds of magic and different choices of character, felt this was a game that had potential but that it wasnt actually realised."

"Another Mayhem-esque dmod. Cool spells, especially wind gust, but it should have done more damage, SPLATTERING foes all over the walls of buildings. Unfortunately, the game is clearly rushed with a bland map and little variation in how or who you unleash your unholy sacrificial fury on."

"This felt more like a demo D-Mod for the nice new spells than anything else. Granted it had a bit of story, but in the end it was just killing some people and ending there."

The End of Snoresville
MsDink - 4
Scratcher - 5
Sparrowhawk - 5
Total - 14

"The idea was a great start but the dmod didnt feel finished and the map quite bland to stroll through with not a lot to do in the game. I did like how you can kill the houses but as they don't bleed and the hard boxes make it hard to get in the right position to kill them (and you can walk through some) this idea also could have had more impact. The lake filling with blood as people died was a nice touch but the carnage level was not right up there, just not enough for me."

"Kind of like the dmod Mayhem, and with innovative ways to murder and wreck the idea could have worked here too. Unfortunately, the map is completely empty, making for a rather lackluster experience."

"Big square empty village with no borders... punch everything until it's gone.
Not sure that I'd choose to play this again, but it gets a bonus for having a cavern full of blood!"
