Go forth and create! Have fun. My only preference would be that you make it Linux compatible (using a version of DinkC supported on that OS such as YeOldDink or v1.08 freedink). But hey, which version you choose to write for is entirely up to you. You can even start by finishing an unfinished dmod, if that makes it easier for you.
