So Oldtimers.....
Who is still around from back in the day? Like a few months after the original release. Before Mystery Island was ever announced and when the best thing on the horizion was Mike Sniders "Dink's Doppleganger"..
I know Redink was, WC too... Who else?

I've been around since about a year after the release, Dukie has been around for the longest time. Tal came shortly after me, and I can't really speak for anyone else, i'm sorta forgetful.

Dukie, redink1, WC, Kyle....all staff too
Nexis posts occasionally, SuperWolfman (formerly cyberwolf, if you remember him) has returned, Bunniemaster posts on occasion, and if you ever knew me...well...I'm here, representing the old-skool new-skool quite well.
(And by OSNS, I mean people who came in after Freeware.)

i had the first demo, but i did not buy it. then i found it on the net for free and downloaded it. i actually dont know when i got either, but i remember trying to make dmods since 8th grade, which is 3 or 4 years ago. actually i started changing the original dink because i did not have the skeleton b. i just changed around dink's village and put sandbags and blood and dead bodies and fire all over the place... that was cool.

It's funny how the fabric of time changes, I used to think people who had been around like a year longer were way more elite.
Back in the days when I had more joy in my being.
Before life kept kicking me in the nuts.

I've been here for a?out 10 years. Surprising how time passes. Also, Dink's now close to being 30 years old. Kind of wild there will be people on this very forum who've been dinking for 30 years.
I discovered the game in high school, so ~20 years ago. Damn... I knew about the forum, but I decided to create an account (I think) about 5 years later. Shevek helped me a lot with my initial scripts. I wonder/hope the guy is okay. He hasn't visited this place in years.
I first really became an active member about 10 years ago. But, I've been around as a lurker/downloader for a lot more than that.
I never purchased either the original Dink or Mystery Island. I first started using Dink on Linux (FreeDink) around 2005.
So, I guess that does not make me an old timer, but I'm not exactly a "young whippersnapper" either.
