Re: Boss midi's: please tell me what you think
I made the following midi's myself: please don't use them for D-Mods yet. I will probably use them in my upcoming D-Mod Kuroppoi Sai no Dunjon and when it's released you can use them.
For now, please tell me what you think of these following midi's. They are meant to be boss midi's. I appreciate all feedback.
Boss 1
Boss 2
Boss 3
Boss 4
Thanks.

Thanks.

the first midi started to repeatative but later it became rather good( a nice battle feel ).
the second i liked completely.
the third was a bi less then the second but still kinda good.
and finally the fourth i liked too but i bit fastish(i don't know why my feel says that.)
i don't know why but when listening the m all the game doom pops up in my mind
9are they from that game by any chance?)

Nice
They bring I, Kara Gu to mind for me. Number 3 is probably my favourite but it's also the one I thought was least fitting for a boss battle - it's too random IMO, stopping and starting. Maybe a bit slow as well.
Number 4 sounds good for a boss battle where the 'boss' is lots of small creatures.
I can see them creeping up and filling the screen...

I quite liked the first one, it was repetetive, which I like. You use the instruments well, young one. Though you still have much to learn...
Nah, it's perfect, I think, you should use it.
The second one is pretty cool, I quite liked the drums. Though there's one bit, where you have three high notes with the overdriden guitar, I think it is, I think you should take that out. But apart from that, it's good!
Didn't bother to listen to the other two, I'll get back to you on them.

Thanks Birdman and Michael Jordan. I will get rid of the harmonics (high pitched noises), it's indeed a bit crappy.
I'm afraid number 3 isn't that suited for a boss battle too, but we'll see. I might change it a bit sometime.
I hope you have time to listen to the other 2 as well DD, it's always nice to hear feedback from a fellow composer.

Good stuff man. If I was more sober, I'd probably have more to say other I would find it useful to make those midis so they're easily loopable. Boss 4 has way too much silence at the beginning.
Yes, the beginning of number 4 isn't very good, far too silent. Although there are some low instruments in there, they're far too quiet. But apart from that, it's all good, I like it.
I still haven't listened to number 3. Maybe some other time.
Oh, and Christiaan, it's MIDI, in capitals, you must always remember that.
