I have a font that i want instead of the original dink font in my FF game (Link). Please if you know how to change the font i would like to know.

I'm not sure myself, but I think there is some way to do it using Phoenix's EasyDinkC.

But what would happen if the user's computer didn't have that particular font installed? Can you install the font along with the D-Mod folder?

It didn't work. I looked at 'the crossroads' and their things symbol is an O and mine is TT. I don't know if this is the problem or not though.

It works fine cos I tried it once but remember that you'll have to send that font with the D-Mod if you want people to be able to use it. I'm not sure what happens if you try to use a non-existent font.

Also not all fonts look good because of not being able to change the size - the one I tried looked so small and squashed it was barely readable

Found out it needs to be open type and mine is true type.

By far most fonts are truetype, and Dink is a game that existed before OpenType existed (probably)... Why would it explicitly require an OpenType font?
