WCNet rocks!
Now why did I ever downloaded from that stupid FilePlanet? You have to sign up first, and if you want to download you have to wait untill the screen is opened, then click on what server you want, then wait again untill another screen is open, then click again to confirm that you indeed, yes, please want to download the choosen file and then finally you can download... if there is no waiting time of half an hour... 
While WCNet... you click, choose where you want to download to, and that's it!

im using a cable modem and i only get 5k/sec when i download from wcnet, WCnet sucks!

Eh, if I'm not mistaken, the more people who download from WC's wonderland at any given time, the slower it goes. So maybe a bunch of people were downloading when you were.

Nopez, I'm using a cable modem too and WCNet is definately slower then fileplanet. I always get 100k/s or more.
If you have a phoneline, it's true that fileplanet opens a lot of pages who are quite heavy to download. And then the waiting time too ... .

well, FilePlanet = waiting for half an hour = 30 min x 60 secs = 1800 secs x 5k (or more) = 9000K's (or more) that you STILL haven't downloaded!

Well it depends ... If you press F5 enough in the waiting line on gamespy you reduce your waiting till 5 --> 15 minutes

Sure. If the waiting time is 15 minutes and you press F5 for a minute then... hey! the waiting time is reduced to only 14 minutes!

Hehe, true. Fileplanet pages update every minute (they say, it's more like 2 minutes). But don't you just love illusions? .

well I have DSL and i waited in line just 2 times.[but now i think i will 'cuz only one public server

Also, the WCNET is hosted on a 512 ADSL line (which can send out a max of 30KBPS). Adn at any given time for dink alone there are 10 people on, and they adverage about 5k a second. Now if you do the math, that come out to 50KBPS..? Yeah. The point is, it is there and really intended for the people who don't want to wait in line, and people with 56k will appreciate it because after waiting in line and then trying to download, do you know how long it would take to get dink, SOB, PQ, Fiat, ect. ?
Also, not only does it have the FTP (which is mostly used by dinkers), it has FQ (funeral quest) http://wcnet.dynu.com:666/, http, and two other computer on the network that use the same line. I would get T1, but the cheapest I can find is like $100 a month with a $500 charge to install.
