Run-time files
Easy DinkC
I downloaded EasyDinkC v1.4 to try it out but when I open it I get a run-time error. Included with it is a link for the run-time files but because IE is playing up I can't go there.
Can someone who has this please give a link so I can go there in firefox?

That was quick, thanks!
I installed that and overwrote evrything it asked me about and now I can get in to the program! I'll try it out later.

You shouldn't have overwrote everything it said. It was saying A newer version of this is already on your machine. So it would've been better to not overwrite those files. Some other programs may possibly not work now.
I think overwriting those files doesn't really affect the system so much. I've never had any problems after accidentally overwriting some obscure system files with older ones.
Depending on the runtime/system files you installed, it doesn't matter shoot, or it can matter a lot. Seeing as only EasyDinkC ever used those files here, there's probably no risk at all.
Now, if it would install an older version of user.dll... lol, BIG BIG TROUBLE. Probably. Not like that would ever happen.

Yes, it will probably cause no problem at all, but it's better to keep the newer versions of those files. Cause you know how newer is better? Well, in most cases anyway.
Oops... that was a bit stupid then.
Not knowing what runtime files are, I presumed they were part of EasyDinkC alone and it wouldn't matter if I overwrote them even if they were a newer version.
Oh well, I haven't seen any flames coming out the processor yet so it should be fine

Lol Yeah, it probably won't do anything to harm your computer. If it does, then just reinstall the runtime files and take note of each runtime file that's installed, then go to the Microsoft website or google then search for them.
