I came over to the DN to check the forum and got distracted by an ad for Alien Adoptions.
Next thing I know, I'm battling other aliens, trying to get a house that's NOT in the
slums, learning which herbs are which, breaking into buildings and a bunch of other stuff.
FUN!

Wait... Where on DN do you see ads? I never see any...

Google ads, above the "Home - Account - Board - Chat" links, next to the "The Dink Network" logo.

They are JavaScript based, so if you have disabled it, you won't see them.

Javascript is on for me. It just shows a black block, I always wondered why that was... But apparently people get ads in the place where I see a black block?

My ad filter is pretty good, it filters most things. Didn't know DN had ads, though.

You're missing out.Some of the ads are really cool, game stuff.
Plus clicking on ads helps support the site, I think.

I don't have ads either. I use Adblock for Firefox. I also have Javascript disabled, HTTP Referer disabled and Cookies disabled. (although all three can be enabled on a per-site basis) No, I'm not paranoid. No sir.

I have all on, and no add blocking extensions. I guess it's my mix of Firefox, Norton Internet Security and ZoneAlarm.
