OK, messing about doing my walkthrough for CC2, I loaded an old savegame to go into the cloud castle earlier. Not only is there no idol in the second screen (so what triggers it to appear?) but when I get to Alessa's old home and talk to the pig, I am unable to pick up the green mushroom the pig has asked me for. Saving and reloading changes nothing.

What have I done wrong..?

The idol doesn't matter. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. The green mushroom thing sounds like a bug. Have you tried both touching it and talking to it?

Talking to it produces the text 'it's a green mushroom'. Not very helpful.

It definitely worked in a later stage of the game.

Sorry this is a bit late, but if the problem persists could you send me your saved game? It'd help me figure out what's happening.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem! I can't pick or touch any mushrooms. I found two green mushrooms and can't pick either of them.
Has anyone found a solution for this issue yet?

Okay, I decided to look at the code for the green mushroom (the ccgmush file), and I don't know anything at all about coding for Dink, but the trouble line is "if (&temp6hold < 2)". I don't know what it means, so I just erased it, and when I went back to my save game it let me pick up the mushroom. I'll leave it to you knowledgeable D-Mod authors to figure that one out.
(But if anyone want to let me know what that line does, exactly, that is, what condition it creates specifically, please tell me! Thanks!)

Just search all the files in that folder for the string &temp6hold. That should give you some ideas where to start looking.
