Arggghh! Dinkedit always "encounters a problem and needs to close". Yeah yeah, I got 1.07. Then I put the "configuration settings" in the folder. I just copied it out of the 'dink' folder. So everything is fine. I try to exit the square, but no! It "encounters a problem"! The folders I have in my mod folder are "dink", "dink (configuration settings", and "hard". whats going on!

Does it always happen with all mods?

I once encountered that with tons of programs. It was a problem with my computer.

At least Linux can check wheter your system is sane... Windows can't automatically do that.

Speaking of Dink problems I am getting massive discoluration problems with Dink. So much so that it is unplayable.

Thanks for trying but that didn't work. I didn't edit anything (it's a reinstalled version), I installed the 1.07 patch, I updated both my graphics driver an my monitor drivr, I tried 256 colour, tried Windows 95 compatability mode, I tried choosing ev erything in Compatability mode. It didn't do any good. I've exausted my knowledge of what to do.

Maybe you should try a new O.S if you are on '95
search for a free one on Google.

"tried Windows 95 compatability mode"
XXhex, you can emulate Windows like it is windows 95, 98 or ME simply by going to the program's properties screen and selecting the compatibility tab. It allows you to sometimes get certain older programs work.
(A similar thing is in windows 98 too, but it's hidden well.)

That didn't fix my problem, but I found a work around for playing the game game. If i use windowed mode from Dink 1.08 alpha 5 the main game works. Doesn't help with dmods though.

""Maybe you should try a new O.S if you are on '95 search for a free one on Google.""

You know just because we play dink doesnt mean we have weak computers with old OS's Granted the Dink Squad Desktop section does seem to state other wise, but.. Ill shut up now
