Awards: July DOTM Voting Has Begun!
Hiya folks, the July Download of the Month is eagerly awaiting your votes. Not too many files were released, so choose wisely.
Quote from the news page:

MiloBones has released a demo of a Tile Puzzle D-Mod. Apparently, figuring out what the rules are is much more fun than actually playing the game, so I won't tell you what you have to do. Maybe you have to lick your mouse, or gently pet your keyboard until it starts purring. The choice is yours.
It was posted in August, doesn't that mean it should be out of this DotM?
LATE ADDITION: Somehow my <i> and </i> HTML-tags were both changed to [/i] BBCode-tags.

That means that there are two files left in cometition. The Cloud Castle 2 was updated this month. Shouldn't it be on the list too?
Hey.I already voted.If they're gonna change the
choices then I want to redo my vote.
choices then I want to redo my vote.
However, MiloBones sent Tile Puzzle to me in July, and that's the date listed in the download information.
So, I delayed the DOTM for a week, giving people a chance to play it, and added Tile Puzzle as an option.
As for Cloud Castle 2 being updated... only hugely substantial updates make a file qualified for another DOTM, almost only an update from Demo to Full versions.

Wow, I'm glad to see the Dink Network is still up. I stopped playing in 2002, but it's awesome to see this is still around. I'll be downloading and playing the new DinkMods for sure.
Keep up the awesome work,
Josh

There have been some excellent d-mods released since 2002. Some of the very best EVER, in fact. Initation, Cloud Castle 2 and Pilgrims Quest are the first 3 that spring to mind... but there are many more.
Welcome back!!

You really gotta stop bragging 'bout your own dmods, Sabre. It probably won't happen until hell freezes over though.
Bragging? I simply named the top 2 d-mods (in my opinion) of last year - Initation and Cloud Castle 2. The latter has some rather cool sequences, and probably the largest amount of dialogue in a d-mod yet, and the former is "simply" revolutionary.
Pilgrims Quest is widely regarded as the best d-mod ever released. Or at least, that is what this list seems to suggest. I prefer Stone of Balance myself, but that's just my opinion (not that I've finished either d-mod).
If you truly believe I was bragging in that last post, you need to get help. Next you'll be telling me there's a section in the Bible with Jesus bragging about walking on water.
As if I would ever brag about my d-mods. Oh, the hilarity!
EDIT: I would also recommend trying World of DinkC, to see the master of mapping at work. Lyna's Story is a personal favourite of mine also, and was put together by the talented Paul Pliska.
EDIT 2: When defending myself against accusations of bragging - and therefore arrogance - I really shouldn't compare myself to the Son of God.

Dude, your spambot imitation is really great! You should bother weblogs
Beware, soon Sabre will start gathering all the e-mail addresses from TDN accounts to spam your inbox about all the D-Mods he starts - every day a new tale of D-Mod creation
Hey, he asked for it!
Not literally of course. Nobody would ever actually ask me to talk about my d-mods. My d-mods of unparalleled beauty, style, flair and wit. My d-mods that will shake the very foundation of the Dink Network. You're all far too self-obsessed.

Not that I would agree with Sabre's bragging, but Cloud Castle 2 really was a great DMOD. On my opinion, it was the second quest, after redink1's Initiation.
Hey, been playing these d-mods for a while, and am waiting for more to be finished and or created. Hey peeps, Let's not fight over who is better, just do what you the best and keep us entertained with Dink.
...and am waiting for more to be finished and or created...
D-Mod development has ups and downs.. and my D-Mod isn't going back up yet Even though it has like an hour of playing time, it's nowhere near finished and it'll take a while at this rate unless I feel like D-Modding again soon

Bah! I wasn't bragging - And certainly wasn't saying my d-mods were better than anyone else's.
D-Mod development has ups and downs..
How very, very true.
