New D-Mod Demo: Tile Puzzle
MiloBones has released a demo of a Tile Puzzle D-Mod. Apparently, figuring out what the rules are is much more fun than actually playing the game, so I won't tell you what you have to do. Maybe you have to lick your mouse, or gently pet your keyboard until it starts purring. The choice is yours.
The green movers remind me of the game Lasertank (Screenshot) - similar game too, you got inspiration there?
Actually, I was pretty much building an emulator of Chip's Challenge, which, going by the screenshots, looks extremely similar to Lasertank. The inspiration for the underwater bits (none of those in Chip's Challenge) was Dr. Lunatic Supreme.
The main problem with my little game is that the screen is too small... I could put different parts of a level on different screens, but it'd be terribly annoying to try to solve a level without seeing all of it. Actually, Chip's Challenge had the same problem even though it was a free scroller. There was one very large level where you had to navigate on ice by bouncing off of stuff. This was extremely frustrating... it came down to trial and error, basically, since the map was hard to remember.

Have you ever played SubTerra? I only had the demo, that had about 20 levels, every level had several screens. You had to collect crystals, befor getting to the exit. Your DMOD reminds me of SubTerra.
I remember SubTerra. It is pretty much the love child of Chip's Challenge and that game(s, there are a whole bunch of clones) where you have to collect diamonds while digging through dirt and avoiding falling rocks. I think that you can actually completely emulate either game with the available pieces.
Milo, I know how to make the screen bigger, so you can add more elements:
Make the sprites smaller, the arrows and stars will look good at 50% of their size for example. If Dink doesn't look good enoungh at that size, you could change it's sprite.
