can someone explain me how to install windowed/32 bit mode thing? It says to add lines in Dink.ccp and Dinkvars.h but I can't find those files.
Meh, you don't need the source files of the 32-bit version. Just place the Dink.exe file where the Dink.exe is (I renamed it to dink_32bit.exe) and then I ran the Outlander D-Mod using a prompt:
"C:\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\dink_32bit.exe" -game outlndr -truecolor -dinkpal
where outlndr is the directory.
"C:\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\dink_32bit.exe" -game outlndr -truecolor -dinkpal
where outlndr is the directory.
I replaced Dink.exe with the new 32bit Dink.exe, but the dmod looks terrible.
ah, well, I use win xp, and it has no Dos. at least not to my knowledge.
Upon investigation, I figured out what caused the game to crash. The sound that plays when you get to the east edge doesn't exist. I'll send the updated start file ro redink. If you've downloaded it already and wish to progress in the game, delete the start.d file in the story directory and replace it with a start.c file which contains the following:
EDIT: fixed...updated .d file is in a patch.
