donuts to dollars
Why would anyone bet donuts to dollars? And who would take such a bet? And where in the world did this saying come?
Also my toes hurt. I'll bet donuts to dollars that your's don't!

Dollars to (i.e., against) donuts is the expression as I know it. (Donut > doughnut.)
If I'm willing to put my costly money against your worthless pastry, I must be pretty sure that I'm right. (For those unfamiliar with the expression.)

Well, right now, if I wanted to buy a donut at a food joint in the uni. it will cost me a buck and a quarter.
Anyone want to bet on me flipping this coin?
/Heads, I win, Tails, You lose.

uh oh I was joking again.
donuts seemed to be the topic on other posts so I turned the expression around and .. heck never mind. I'm going to go hide in the closet.
PS although my toes really do hurt. I had the big toenails removed. Now that was a barrel of laughs.

Toenails...ow! The docter injected the anaesthetic three times, and it still wasn't working, so he decided to go ahead and do the surgery anyway. It was sore...and it didn't even work. So a week later he said he'd have to do it again. Well, I wasn't having any of that. I got the scissors out and did it myself. Haven't had a problem since.
I wonder how long it will take until desertgrl comes out of the closet (Why hide)
