Item Icons Pack & Dink Palette - question
If anyone happens to discover an icon that has no dink palette applied to it in my file, can you please notify me?
And would anyone know if there's an automated way to check them all? I checked them manual, but seemed to have missed one. Since I've already gone through all 800 of them three times, I don't feel like doing that again.
Thanks!

Try this:
1. Create the dir.ff file (use ffcreate2.exe) of your sequence.
2. Open the sequence in dinkedit to see all of it at once.
3. The picture without dink palette will look strange - you will see it right away.
Hope it helps.

Use file size or a program like ACDsee which let you browse a folder by file details such as number of colours

Aren't they all 256 colors? Then it won't help

Yes, they are.
Thanks for the handy tips, guys! I certainly will try those!

Yes, ACDsee will only tell the difference between 16 million colours and 256 colours. If the images are already 256 colours but the wrong 256 colours *ie palette, then you will have to do what Tyrsis says

Hmmmm... Tyrsis is a girl.

Thanks, ehasl.
Sorry, Tyrsis.
I was just speaking in general terms.

A little problem with this too. You can only put 51 frames in a sequence IIRC. You'd have to use a bunch of sequences.

: Hmmmm... Tyrsis is a girl.
It is a general slang word for "people" I believe, and also includes the females.
Just watch some Digimon on Norwegian tv, and notice how Thai says something like "bra gjort gutta" ("well done boys"), even though maybe some of the girls of that party was part of it as well. Uhm, yes, in defence of bin.

Thank you! My noble defender! I indeed meant it that way. Just like 'howdy, folks' or something like that. Next time I will say 'thanks, girls' and see how many reactions I will get on that line!

Cool...
But "guys"/"boys" are still male.

That's called emancipation.
If girls can be adressed as 'guys' or 'boys', then guys/boys can be adressed as girls, now can't they?

Yes, and you'd have to rename the files too. It's faster to just go through them one by one.

Hmmm... I've done that already a couple of times. Guess I'll wait till I'm really bored and don't know what else to do.
