I started lukio (highschool?) four weeks ago, and I just noticed how much it eats up my time. I have nearly no time for developing, or actually Dinking at all. So, Merlin and Tal, if you're still willing to beta test Chores, I have to warn you that it will be heavily delayed. Don't expect me to have enough time to get a beta ready any time soon

Dont feel bad Madstalker...its happening to most people here. The only reason I can still make Mod's is that though I go to college and work I only work four full days a week and college classes only for me are only Tuesday and Thursday nights.

I can sympathise totally with you there. I should be studying right now.

You're definitely right. The day I got into upper secondary / high school I lost the time to do anything about Dink and D-Mods. Hell, I have trouble being able to come see the message board.

It's amazing how homework exponentially grows w.r.t. time...

But, the sad truth is, school might have more to do with my future, so it has to take over Dink.

Im sorry Sharp...dont worry though. College is much less time consuming cause instead of one class five times a week for an hour you have two classes a week that take two hours...also you study when you want and often dont have homework. (except studying which is optional...you should do it though)

Its just in college they dont assign work they just expect you to do it.

Yeah, I know, in that sense it will get better...
On the other hand, I hate studying things "myself" so that I need to take care of doing enough excercises or practicing and setting up deadlines myself. So, o'well.

Ghehe, at first I thought uni was like that. Though for first year, the professors give homework and set deadlines for you just as badly

Gheh, don't complain about me. I still post something almost every day. Maybe I should check out if the DN also runs on the university computers.

Does homework really eat up that much of your time? It didn't really change much about my spare time back in the days. Maybe 15 minutes longer than usual.

I don't get (or do, even if I get) that much homework that it'd eat up more than 10 minutes of my free time each day.... but 40 hours of school a week is pretty tiring. I lack the motivation to do things that take much time, like dmods.

why do i have do go to school? its not like you need to go to school to get a big rusty blue van, and go round all of ireland to do gigs in pubs and stuff. thats my dream anyways.

It doesn't take much time at all. But at the day where I've only got 1 college to follow, I'm already away from home for 7 hours. It takes 2 hours to get from home to the university, and 2 more hours back, I've got 2 hours college. Somewhere 30 minutes get lost (talking, walking and simply doing nothing and such), and the other 30 minutes are train-delays. (NS, you should know )

I thought my ONE hour commute to college was bad. You lose twice as much time.

Maybe you should look into dorms MiloBones.

Last year I was up at 6:30 AM to leave for college, and didn't get home until 6:45 PM at the earliest.

That was painful.

But I'm in halls this year, so it's all good. Yeah

Did I tell you I've got days when my first college starts at 9:00, and my last one ends at 17:00? This means getting up 6:00 and being at home not before 19:00

I had that routine every day (bar weekends) for a year. I nearly went CrAzY!

Every day? Okay, you win. I only have it tuesday and thursday.

I'm free at friday, and wednesday I start at 13:00 and finish at 15:00. Monday I start at 11:00 and finish at 17:00. So it isn't all thát bad.

I don't know what my timetable is for the coming year.. but hopefully it will be nice and small. Like, an hour a day? That would do me nicely.
