Personal Messaging
I dont...however when I first showed up a bunch of people PM'ed me. Namely ReDink welcoming me and Sabretrout inviting me to the Saturday chats.

I do. Especialy to swap info with Merlin about Windemere. To me its most convenient
Rarely. Basically only when I receive a message from someone.. and I don't really receive that much messages
There are about 2200 messages in the system, which I think is a fairly good amount. I didn't expect that it would be used all that much.
There needs to be a mass-delete function -- I have over 90 messages in there. Once I deleted over 25 messages, one-by-one, but then got tired and gave up. I decided to not delete anything anymore.
I use it a fir bit, generally saying"Hi" to new people who join the community. And that reminds me, I may have to do another chat very soon...
Yeah, you forgot july (or you did one after the 16th, which is a bit late) and by this comment I guess you forgot august too...
Anyway, I haven't deleted any PM's right now, but I've got about 40. Also, if I have a really short message for someone, I use PM instead of mail. For longer things usually e-mail the message.

I only messaged in the beginning... a lot with magicman but also others that helped me making a dmod or something like that...
You sent me 13 messages, to be exact, which gives you the second place in my PM-box.
I didn't forget, but people didn't seem to care for chats which didn't have a big topic, and were just chats for the sake of getting Dinkers together.
So I haven't done any for a while. If people want them back, I'll see what I can do.

That could easially be added using check boxes and just have the delete button delete whatever check boxes are checked.
That reminds me SabreTrout. I showed up this last Saturday thinking you'd be holding a chat. Though you werent I was lucky enough to find SimonK and WC so Im happy. I think it would be an exceptionally good idea to hold chats consistantly cause as fun as it is to talk to one Dinker I cant imagine the insanity of having four or five.

But when there are five dinkers, most of them are bigger that you and smarter than you and know a lot more about something (i.e computers or math), so that only they know what they're talking about.
Bigger and smarter? I expect (though could never assume) that most Dinkers are small, frail creatures with the skin tone of ash. Only deemed intelligent due to the cybernetic implants jammed into their brains, they are, in fact, drivelling morons.
But, yeah, I'll start doing chats again on a regular do-da, but when I was doing that, people often just seemed to... whine about it.
And when we DID have a proper topic (that of Windemere, what we would want, what we expected from it etc), Merlin threw a hissy fit, and said that he'd do a Windemere chat himself.
The wanker.

I know these people you speak of DinkMega. They tend to drivel to themselves and be ignored though they may be listened to by the voices in thier heads. Well I just ignore em anyway.
So what days should the chats be? Are times relevant?
I dont think topics are necessary. Just having us all in one room should be MORE than enough to stimulate thought-provoking (or injury inducing) conversation.

The Vault Dweller

Ummm.....I wasn't through with the above post. The post was about having a delete button for messages as several of ya'll discussed.
But on to other stuff. Ummm again!...Why do I suddenly have to enter my username on these posts (says "No Username") and why do I no longer have access to PM and where did all my old messages go? I'm lost and wandering in the wilderness. Help!
OR mayyybee, now that I'm unknown, I could join again and be someone different. Be a big tuff cantakerous hombre (nah that's wc's gig and I like him that way. ) Or I could be a rabble rouser? Or just be my sweet lil' ole self? cough cough
By the way, Hi everybody.

Heh, that would be a pretty dire lifestyle choice.
