very weird goings-on
Wow! So strange! I d/ld matoya day before and played it. Short and sweet. Just now, I decided to take another look at some of the games in the front end (bored). When I clicked on 'dream weaver' to replay it, The title screen came up with 'matoya'. I've tried it several times and that's what happens. Now how did that come about? None of the others I've tried do that. Think I'll go try all of them.
Edit: Matoya's title screen comes up on EOT, GviMH, 9GOL, Q4DII also. Others probably. Don't know.

Do you have over 100 D-Mod's in your FrontEnd list? As far as I noticed, the front end only supports up to 100.
Okay, go to Start->Run.
*If you are on 2000/XP, type 'cmd' and click OK.
*If you are on 9x/ME, type 'command' and click OK.
Enter these:
cd \
cd progra*
cd dink*
dir > c:\stuff.txt
Then, open up c:\stuff.txt and paste the results here.

No, it supports only 50.
My guess is you installed Matoya over top of your original Dink Smallwood installation. Just re-install Dink, and everything should be fine.
Ya it only supports fifty. Just recently I had the problem where it wouldnt run any D-Mod's so I removed some and it worked. Whew!

I can't say enough that you don't necessarily have to delete them. Making their directory hidden is also enough
Probably but how else to d/l if not:
program files/dink etc/matoya?
Making their directory hidden is also enough
How do you do that?
Edit; ok, tx

To make a directory hidden:
1. Go to Dink Smallwood\
2. Right click on the directory/map you wanna make hidden
3. Click "Properties" (or your language equivalent )
4. Check the "Hidden" checkbox
5. In case of WinXP, you get the choice of applying it to that directory and/or all subdirectories as well. It doesn't really matter, as long as the main D-Mod directory is hidden; then it'll work

I had this same problem, but it was with the 'new shores: moriosis" or something like that. I just deleted it and it went away (almost).
