The Dink Network

Playing v 1.07 beta 3 on WinXP.

Just found this game last night, played it for a few hours and have received the Fireball spell.

Last night, after getting the letter from Dink's aunt, hitting the M key brought up the region map. Tonight that doesn't work -- not in any of the saves from last night. So... [scratching head] I guess I have no map.

Any thoughts on what to do about this, other than "start again, and never turn off the game?"

Huh, I've never had that problem. If you want to send me a save game, I'll take a look at it. On the other hand, that's not very far into the game, so your best bet may be just to start over and hope it doesn't happen again. Or you could always play without the map, it's not exactly required, just handy.

I was *afraid* you were going to say that. [rueful grin] But you're right -- it isn't that far along, and I have lots of empty save slots left.

If it happens again, I'll take you up on that offer. I guess the thing that concerns me is that if it lost the map, it could start losing other things, too.

I think I've had a similar problem for a few times. try pressing 6.
