The Dink Network

Everyone's favorite weapon made out of fish, SabreTrout, and his brother Arik have released a demo to Cloud Castle 2 : Scarab. It starts right from the end of Cloud Castle, and Dink has to escape from a desert prison. Sounds like fun.

Edit: The demo has been updated to v1.1, which fixes a few issues. A patch is also available for those who have already downloaded it.

Due to me being a silly fool of a fish, you start the d-mod with 1000 gold. Obviously, that should NOT be the case, so if you want to play the game properly, remove the gold in
start-1.c

EDIT : I have now sent redink a small update, fixing the gold problem, a problem with the shop, and a few other small errors.

I'm liking it a lot, but there are a big number of bugs (as you said).
I even had one major bug when I killed the duck my computer crashed and now my comp is as instable as a cowpie. Hmm....

I think I'll wait for this DMOD demo to be stable... you did beta test it right?

Hmm... there are numerous bugs, but I have never encountered anything as severe as Christiaan states. The problem with the demo is that it's quite open (in which dungeon you do and when) and that leaves bug-fixing to be quite painful. Nonetheless, I'll try and make a bug free demo. EDIT : And no, it has not been beta-tested. It does actually say in the dmod.diz it is a beta demo. I'm actually qiute confused about Christiaans problem, as I've not experienced anything like that...hmmm...

Hm, nevermind. I didn't get that "bug" again. Probably my computer felt like annoying me again.

I'm stuck, though I think it's just the end of the demo. I beat the boss and ended up in the water. is that the end?

Look at the "Walkthrough", at the bottom of the page. If you have enountered the things listed (i think their is 4) then you have completed the demo.
I should have made it clearer you have finished... oh well!
