Centering one line in openoffice
Seconds later, the sound of fire shooting up and Ganston yelling broke the silence.

(the food for Windlegs is more air, but the air Gurburdee got before was somehow not the right air with no explanation.)
I've looked this up, read through some threads a bit, and all people are suggesting is to over complicate what should be a simple task of highlighting a portion of a document and setting it to align wherever the shit you want.
I won't make an account just to ask one question that probably won't be answered or answered well.
There's also probably more writers here than just KrisKnox although I dunno if he's used this pile of crap.
I thought I had it solved by pressing enter a billion times, deleting those all the way back to where I want to begin writing left aligned, but it's discovered my trick and beefed up it's douchebaggery skill. I think it re-rolled and took out points in good design and put them into douchebaggery.

I use LibreOffice, and that seems to work the same way. It cares more about the cursour's position and enter presses than highlighting stuff.
So, if you want to align a single line, you press enter before that line, write the line, and press enter again. Then you place the cursor on that line, and change the alignment. It'll only affect the single line of text.
