Discarded Projects
Here's an idea I was working on a while ago:
Dink has finally settled down, but always was on the look for adventures. Soon he got lazy, and stopped caring. One night after constant drinking, a criminal came to his house. He intended to burn down Dink's house, and set fire to it. Dink ran out and beat the villain to a bloody (for just how bloody, ask TheProphet) pulp. But now his house was burnt down, and everything was gone. So, he went to get a loan. He now had 5,000 gold pieces, so he needs somewhere to stay and live.
That's the intro. The game involves:
•Buying one of many houses/apartments
•Get unique jobs to make money, not boring 'get-this-for-me' sub-quests
•Every town citizen has a relationship with you
•Become the mayor of the town for huge income
•Real time, so your loan is due soon or interest piles up!
•Buy all kinds of furniture to move around in your house.
•Sell furniture and items to make money
•No heavy fighting
•End the game at any time, the better you do, the better the ending
•Grow food to sell or eat
Well, that's all I can think of. The game was planned for developement, but stopped for many reasons. One big one was I needed more variables. But now that can be fixed. If anyone wants to help out, just say. If it is started, I can't play a HUGE role in developement, but I can play a big one.
