Re: Pokemon
A random question of the month, how many pokemon games do you have, also how many cookies.
I have 3 games right now and half a cook...0 cookies

I have one or two on emulators. I cannot speak of the amount of cookies I have, else RobJ will steal them.
Um... four. Yes, four.
Gotta catch 'em all!
Or not, at least I didn't feel particularly compelled. If you've played one Pokemon game, you've played them all. (At least for the stuff they had for the GBA - not sure if the concept has evolved since. Probably not.)

Pokemon games have honestly changed only little since Red/Blue/Yellow/Green. The only thing that has really evolved...no pun intended, is the graphics. Gameplay mechanics are mostly the same, and the story in each generation is largely the same. But that doesn't make the games any less good, though 4th and 5th generation were pretty meh. The new games, X and Y, surprised me with how good they actually were. All I want now are remakes of the 3rd Gen games, (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald,) and I'm happy.
I own:
Ruby
Fire Red
Diamond
Soul Silver
Black
Y

I want a Pokemon game where, during the battle, you control the Pokemon in a 3D 'arena' area, using attacks similar to FFXII's Active Dimension Battle system. (Pretty much, real time strategy where you make attack decisions on the fly.) I would just love that.

I was honestly quite surprised a few weeks ago when I found out that Pokemon was still a thing.

I used to love playing Red on the old Game Boy. Played another one for a while but can't remember what colour it was... Sapphire I think.
Don't know the names of all 250 by heart any more though
Of course, now there's about 2500 of them...
I'm in the middle of playing Pokemon Ranger right now on the Game Boy DS.

Digimon's still a thing. Not a huge thing like Pokemon. Yu-Gi-Oh!'s still a thing, and Magic the Gathering, and Dink...
Pokemon is still a thing that makes Nintendo truckloads of money.
