WDE
The strangest thing: the seed graphics don't appear in WDE and as a result also not in a new dmod I've just started on. I checked but they are loaded in the Dink.ini file. Anybody encounter similar problems?
Also, WDE doesn't seem to save my settings for hardness tiles.

in the new version of wde, a lot of things really suck. for example, the "ready" text appears in the lower left corne ALWAYS, which gets annoying when you place the cursor over a sprite to look at the numbers for it. also, when i select a hardness tile and stamp it, instead of stamping that tile, it stamps the tile of the number before it instead. luckily, i found version 1.3, which isn't quite so buggy. if you want me to, i'll send you version 1.3 because i believe the seed graphics can be found in it.

Actually, I used the 1.3 version. Maybe I should reinstall it.
I don't think the problem's in Windinkedit, since I once had a similar problem, and I use
Dinkedit.
Dinkedit rules.
Anyway... I don't remember how I got the seed-problem (sounds stupid) fixed, but I suggest you re-copy item-pig.c (or whatever the pig seed item's name is), check you haven't replaced the graphic later in dink.ini, that the path is correct, you have the graphics stored in Dink/graphics.dir, etc...
And start using

Yay! Sombody else who thinks DinkEdit is much better than WinDinkfabulousEdit!
DinkEdit is much nicer to use.

I think so too, though WDE isn't fabulous by all means. I actually think it has some nice features
i like dinkedit as well, but consider this. for those of us with fast enough systems, the arrow keys scroll so fast that it's hard to do anything with them
. i use wde because it's so much faster to use, though a bit buggy

Eh, and I think WinDinkEdit doesn't (?) show all the sprite sequences, even if it's at full screen.
But still, somebody gets sick of using keys in DinkEdit, so could prefer WinDinkEdit.

WinDinkEdit shows all of the sprite sequences that are in dink.ini, you might have to press Page Down to see the next page, but they're all there.
Don't get me wrong, when I tried WDE I thought it had some cool features, but I soon went back to good old dependable Dinkedit.
Nope, the seed graphics are not there. Instead there are two blue squares where they should be. I'll have to check whether Dinkedit also doesn't show them as soon as I get home. (At my job right now -- boring.)
Actually think I might have screwed up the dink.ini because I added new graphics to the group of stairs/door, which is the previous graphics group. Anyway, thanks for your tips.
