Well it doesn't matter how people vote if every person running for office is the same. =P

Yeah unfortunately money to advertise is pretty much the most important factor for getting elected. It's quite a corrupt system...

Implying that you're smarter than everyone else and somehow intellectually superior to the average citizen.

We have a lot of people who are ignorant of politics, not stupid. As in every country.

Huge difference.

And who cares what Ralph Nader says. It would be different if the president said it, but he's just an activist voicing his opinion (albeit a ludicrous one in my own opinion).

I wouldn't go that far. I just hate politics. I'm finding it harder and harder to see whether either party is even looking out for the best interests of our country. And the idiots who vote don't help, either.

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

Then do something about it rather than being cynical. Go volunteer for the causes that you believe in. Help the poor, fight against or stand for abortion, talk to your friends openly about things that need to change, join a 3rd party, try to take down current marriage laws, walk homeless dogs, work for a food shelter, help keep the new generation off drugs, etc.

Do SOMETHING other than what you're doing right now (ie calling everyone a corrupt retard), then complain later.

People are to lazy to do that stuff, though I feed a cat that lives in my trailer park if that helps.
