Thoughts on the Dink Network
Was just thinking about the forums and it doesn't seem like what it used to be, this could be because I only check in occasionally but I was wondering what some of you guys who have been active on the forums a far lot longer than I have think about it now. Is it what it used to be? Did you prefer it a couple of years back and do you like the way it is now? share some stories and write your thoughts...
Sadly, it's slowly dying. Since from around 2003, it has constantly gone downhill, and now activity is very slow. Nothing lasts forever, and The Dink Network is about the last thing keeping Dink alive. I'd give it around 3-5 more very quiet years, before the community dies completely.
A couple of years ago? I don't think it's really changed a lot since something like 2010. Duck, that's basically yesterday. If by a couple of years you mean closer to a decade ago, then sure. =)
About Dink dying and such, I think it's a pretty worthless subject to talk about, in general. If you fear something is dying, and you don't want it to die, just do stuff and be active.

Dink most certainly is dying, but if I could just find the right tree to burn down, maybe there's a secret passage with some health stored away.
I will fight for Dink! The word "Undying" pretty much sums this place up. 
Not as good as it used to be, but not as bad as it was. If you see what I mean
I kind of think of this place as a place of old creepy men just waiting for the enemy to come and attack the forgotten fort, or us, the Circle sitting in an oval on laptops talking and making sure Tal's mom brings cookies downstairs.
I personally thought Dink being released on android and IOS would boost the popularity a fair bit but this doesn't seem to be the case.
^ Yes, that's what I thought. But, sadly... The main reason why it's not as popular as other touch screen games is because it requires reading, something which your average smartphone joe won't do... I feel pity for people who want to be writers.

Because they won't put the effort to read. The fun in Dink is if you read.
Eh, you hardly have to read. And it's not like games don't have subtitles that people read anyways.

Since we've kind of lost topic here I'll ask you all a different question. The Dink Network hasn't been updated in a long time and I was wondering what you all think of this. Do you think it needs a new update or improvement? Personally I like it the way it is but that's just me. This has probably been discussed before but I want to see what others think. 
There were two websites that I used to visit during my childhood, many years ago: the Romanian World of Gothic, and The Dink Network. TDN was the first, back when I was downloading tons of DMODs with Opera on Windows 98 and listening to the awesomeness of 11.mid
World of Gothic is now dead, and Dink is the only one left. Whatevs happens, you guys know you're awesome

The admins never maintain the site or add new features only paying for the server.
Dink will never be updated with new stuff (game mechanics etc.) just an Android version came up since 1.08.
There was one update in like 3 years recently and it was removing and adding some icons to the Partners section.
Polls are okay.

Sadly, it's getting to the point where there's very few forum posts and no new files. This time of the year (along with Christmas-time), is usually when the site is at its busiest, but now we get barely 5 forum posts a day.
Well, You can look forward to a new epic. For I have found an incomplete Dmod on my computer and it requires little work for it to be completed.
^ Great! BTW, does Dink on Android/IOS support all DMODS? I may get a smart phone. 
They do! At first the IOS version didn't but now it does. :3
But then again there is that problem that not all dmods frun correctly under dink HD....

I think it is a lot of fun, and if you are stuck in a game someone always helps,you guys are awesome
