Hello all,

I'm playing cloud castle 2 on Dink HD and have just got out the Cthilmor cultist place, Churnblade the Ravager turns into bugs and I kill them, then I need to pick someone to come along with me. At this point the game crashes, I tried all 3 options and they all result in a crash once all the others have left the screen. What can I do?

Thanks.

What can I do?

Use an older version of Dink, as crazy as that sounds.

Hmm..
Are you on a computer (mac, pc?) or on a mobile platform?

It might be easy to edit the script to avoid the crash.. but I'm not sure, I don't have the dmod.. But I'm sure sabre or somebody else will help you soon

@ Skull, I tried that but the save files didn't carry over and I can't find the folder they are in to manually copy paste them.

@ iplaydink, I'm on a PC, windows XP.

For finding save files, you could try going to your Dink directory, then Cloud Castle 2 folder (which is probably called "cc2") and then copy the save#.DAT files (or just the whole cc2 folder) to where you installed the older version of Dink. I think it will work but I'm can't be sure because I haven't used DinkHD very much.

If you are able to track down the save files, if you email them over to me I can take a look to see if I can reproduce the problem & fix it.

Problem fixed. I found the save files, imported them to dink normal definition and got past the bug. Thanks for the help guys.

The game is already downloaded onto your computer. DinkHD and Dfarc are just different programs that run the game. Dmods save into their own folders, so when you load it into the program you're using to play it with, all the save files will still be there.

So, no. You will not have to install cc2 again.

Strange though. I beat cc2 on DinkHD and never ran into that bug.

I have DFArc2. It comes with Dink Smallwood 1.08.
