Revenge of the Pigs/Ducks
Just asking the people who played it...it sounds to me like a ripoff of Revenge of the Ducks. I would play it for myself but I dont have a Dink cd at my current location..
So any opions about it?

well it says that it is no way releated to revenge of the ducks
I haven't played it, but it sounds to me like quite a blatant rip-off. Maybe you should sue. Or hurt glenn...whichever is more fun.
I played it, even reviewed it and it cannot really be compared with Revenge of the Ducks. In Revenge of the Pigs, the player controls a level 2 pig who has to learn some magic to kill the slaughterer. It's very short, there's basically nothing to do and you can't finish it. Revenge of the Ducks is different - in every way you compare them
My comments exactly, Simeon.

Simeon, I finished it. Was your problem that you could not talk to the wizard? Well I could. Just edit the wizard script : remove the very first character before void (It said something like qvoid with me so after edit you can finish the game).
Also little hint: When entering the screen where he says : "Hey slaughter!!" don't move, or the script will stop and you have to enter the screen again.
(oh yeah, i run dink v1.07 if that's got anything to do with it)

Wait till you see my new mod called "The 8 Crystals of Death" it will kick ass.
Hmm, tricky Well, I saw those scripts too but did you edit wizard.d or sloughter.d? These scripts are exactly the same.
Anyway, it shouldn't be necessary to edit the scriptfiles to finish the game, right?

"In Revenge of the Pigs, the player controls a level 2 pig who has to learn some magic to kill the slaughterer."
In Revenge of the Ducks 1, the player controls a duck who has to learn some magic to kill the hunter.

Yeah, the story is almost the same... but if we look at the D-Mods, the quality of Revenge of the Ducks is better than Revenge of the Pigs (see the reviewscores of play it for yourself when you have the Dink Smallwood cd).
In the 9 gems of life the player has to run around various lands to collect 9 crystals to defeat the enemy. In The Stone Of Balance, you gotta do the same crap...should we continue on this? No.
Oh c'mon WC, this is more than a passing similarity!
ROTD : Very short d-mod, where you control a duck who must learn magic to defeat the Hunter.
ROTP : Very short d-mod, where you control a pig who must learn magic to defeat the Slaughterer.
Many d-mods are going to have pretty similar plot-lines, but this just seems to be going too far.

Yo WC stop being a idiot and check facts before you say something...the 9 gems was released before SOT, Simon even said something like: Im ripping of the 9 gems story but...etc.
Never mind that last post, its just that I see the ROTD serie as my best work and Im kinda protective about it.
