Site Experiment: "Help Wanted" Board
WC and I were discussing Tyrsis' thread regarding the Dinktionary a few minutes ago, and WC asked me if the thread should be a sticky one. I thought that it could be a good idea, but then the people who frequently ask for mapping/scripting assistants for their D-Mods would complain if their threads weren't stickitized. It occured to me that a bunch of sticky threads like that wouldn't necessarily be a good thing to have around here.
Enter my suggestion for a Help Wanted board. It will almost certainly be used less frequently than any other board (with the exception of many File Discussion sub-boards), yet a place to store major cries for help seemed like a good idea to me.
Do note that, at this moment, redink1 doesn't know the board exists... so he may see it as pointless and banish it. Ah well, who knows. What do you guys think?
Edit: Also, if any of you folks have a recommendation for a better icon (the current one for this board is a potion), do say something.
Edit 2: Yeah, I realize that there aren't really TONS AND TONS of posts that I can move in there, especially since most of the requests for help that I can find on this board are outdated (seriously, if they posted the thread last July, they probably don't want to hear from you anymore). I assumed that the inclusion of a board dedicated to this sort of thing would motivate more people to ask for help. Yep yep.

I think a better icon would be a dink cursor with a question mark
The icons are already kinda confusing to me since a 2 or 3 of them dont go with the point of the forum, but I like the idea of a pile of gold or something maybe for the icon if thats possible
"2 or 3 of them dont go with the point of the forum"
I disagree.
General Dink Discussion - It uses the icon for dink.exe, the center of the Dinkness. The general discussion board covers any and all things Dink or Dink Network related that don't fit into the other boards.
Development - Uses the WinDinkEdit icon. WDE is one of the top development tools available (and the original DinkEdit had no special icon).
Off-Topic - Utilizes a banana for its icon. The banana has nothing to do with Dink in general, yes, but bananas have been part of a running joke/gag/what-have-you on this site, so it fit.
News Comments - Uses the news scrolls posted on the walls of inns in Dink.
Blog Discussion - A bookshelf (from Dink, no less). Imagine that all the books on the shelf are journals. That's essentially what blogs are: web-based journals.
Hopefully you understand now.

Ok i get your point, didnt think of it that way but i guess your right, the blog icon is kinda a stretch but i see it. Realizeing that then yes i agree with the question mark on the dink cursor idea...

Isn't there a "Wanted" poster in-between all the dink graphics? I think that would be a nice one.

Just untill we feel it neccissary to take down. I was thinking of taking it down but then I thought "The staff question posed by al hasn't been answered truely yet." so I decided to give it a few more days.
