Reasons are different. Many people don't really want to leave but they haven't enjoyed the forums recently either. So, do you stay in a place you don't really like anymore or do you say goodbye? Of course you didn't really want to leave so you come back eventually, but it is an understandable reaction.

First of all, this is merely how I feel about this place and metas comments, not trying to start anything - just want those that are emailing me to see where I am, to understand why I am not on here anymore, I didn't want to make an 'I am leaving thread' cause attention is the last thing I need or want.

Dang nab it meta thats it in a nut shell. I left a week ago due to one certain dinker and his inability to get over himself and get off my back, constantly dragging me into arguments I wasn't a part of, with some of the most particularly nasty comments I have ever heard in my life pointed at me by this person, and when you think they have finally decided to grow up and give it a rest - they start again because of a stray comment by another person who, for whatever reason, thinks they are helping. So it starts up again - its not as bad as has been happening but makes you realise that it is never going to end and its decision time. I have to make a choice as to whether I want to tolerate and accept it as part of being here or I need to let the part I love go so the other part is over as well.
The thing is - that I really enjoy the rest of you, you are all a particularly amazing bunch of guys and it honestly has been a privilege getting to know you all, I really am going to miss so many of you if I decide to make my departure permanent. I will also miss making dink 'stuff' which was the entire reason I joined up here in the first place.
So, here is my quandry, it won't ever stop because this person has proven himself to be a total arse over a prolonged period of time, it obviously isn't in his nature to be without a victim on here (to my knowledge I am his second - well, one of two at present), staff will never do anything about it and then again why should they - they aren't our parents and there are no consequences for misbehaviour on here anyway!
But, I am not gunna sit here and get abused or bullied by this "dinker" any more, so decisions available to me are:
...do I stay and have his shitty comments thrown at me when ever he feels like it
...or do I leave something I enjoy because of one person knowing that when I leave he will select a new victim and make their forum experience hell.
I realise that only I can make the decision and I haven't totally made it yet, but I will say it has been easier to stop being here than I expected.

With all honesty, the only constructive thing I can think of to say without taking offence at the quoted yet deleted posts (cos hey, what's the point? I've been ignoring the guy for ages now with my lack of forum activity, its obvious) is that not being on the forums, MsDink, doesn't mean you can't enjoy continuing to make new Dmod contents or even Dmods themselves.
Avoiding the forum in fact makes people think anything that you have stated as a planned Dmod is in fact another Necromancer for a while (at some point anyway. Just how many "Necromancer" troll posts are there?
I mean you could suddenly log in one day, find a ton of new Dmod content that people have shared, ask permission to use it, add it in within a matter of minutes, and upload your Dmod all in a matter of an hour after posting that you're not working on it any more without stating a reason
Now I have missed a LOT and I continue to miss a lot on these forums simply due to my lack of interest in the forums themselves; That doesn't stop me from working on my Dmod but hey, it stops me from getting into arguments. Just do a few rare posts from time to time, ghost-read posts without replying, and avoid the arguments.
