That depends on if it's good or not, and if it's annoying or not. If it's crappy, it'll ruin the game.
Yeah, FIAT's rain and thunder effects are cool, and PQ's storm looked fantastic. So if it's something like that, please use it!!

It really uses time. Casinos are only open at night, etc...
If you stand still, for 15 min, it will be dark and you can see the darkness coming.. Kinda cool, but you can turn it of ( slow pcs = slow game )

Oh, come on, theprophet, you keep on asking 'should I do this?' 'should I do that?' where you know al along everybody likes stuff like that. Just do what you have in mind, make it good and surprise us with your amazing D-mod!

ya! i smacka you face. if you got something good, use it. and you know, i actually have a 4 hour long dmod just sitting on my computer that im not even close to finishing and it uses time scripts like prophet explained, but mine was kinda buggy so i got rid of it
by the way, does yours use a clock? like, does it record time like mine did? i made a script that kept running and running, and after like 3 hours of playing, a bridge would be back up, or you could enter secret areas maybe between day 2 and 3. i think what caused it to screw up was checking the time

yup, its just a loop, and its deactivated when you exit the game ( sets a variable to 1 and then kill_this_task() is used, so it wont stay in the memory )

And I've got a random weather type script, when time is 600, then there is a random(10,1) chance it will rain (10%), and random(20,1) thunder (5%).
When 3 hours passes, a random(5,1) (20%) could stop the rain + thunder, or not...

Yeah well my d-mod has seasons implemented, and the stages of the lunar cycle. Including eclipses. You also have a "pissed-off-o-meter" which is like the health bar, but goes down if the rain gets you depressed...but you can buy an umbrella so it's ok.

Oh yeah? My D-Mod has a secret where if you stand at an exact pixel for 2000 years (real years, not fictional years) then a comet will show up on the screen and blow up Dink! Haha!
