Pink Squares around items
Can anyone help?
I played the original Dink with no problems. Then I downloaded the patch and dmods etc.
Now when I play either the original game or my first Dmod Stone of Balance (loving it), I get pink squares either partially covering items or even completely obilterating them.
i.e.SOB back wall of cell just has a pink oblong where I have to kick. Thorns are pink oblongs until I go past them then I can see thorns. When I kill pill bugs the hearts or money is only half visible with a pink square over them. Occasionally this is helpful if there is a potion or something behind a tree for example I can see the pink square in front of the tree but mostly it just spoils my enjoyment as graphics are spoilt in practically every scene by these pink boxes. I can also ALWAYS see the scriping at the top left hand side of the screen.
Anyone understand what I am trying to say and know of a fix.

That happened to me a couple of times after a long time of playing the same game...but then i just exited and went back in and it worked fine...but i am guessing that you have tryed this already so why am i saying anything...i dont know bored i guess...anyway
Sounds to me like you're running the game in debug mode, thou I'd think that's very unlikely. You see you always see the scriping (scripting?) at the top left hand side of the screen, do you mean some kind of quickly alternating text at the top of the screen in grey/white? If that's so, you're running in debug mode, a mode meant to fix errors with dmods. If you're using the standard front-end, make sure you don't have the 'Enable Log File' option checked. 
Exactly what I mean about the text Phoenix. I am using the standard front end so I may have checked the offending box in error when I first tried to start the Dmod, perhaps thinking in my strange, not understanding programming, way that running in debug mode would stop any bugs. Derrr my brain can't have been working that day.

BTW, you can also disable/enable the debug mode when playing by pressing alt + d
