I have learnt mapping from meta's file only.
Unfortunately, it doesnt go very deep into the subject.

Huh. I found it the most helpful in scripting.
For mapping there's nothing better than the video tutorials in my opinion. There's not 1 topic that's not discussed. Of course, you need some patience going through them, but it's so worth it.

The DinkC Reference is good too, not only for specific or advanced stuff. Look at the contents and start at the beginning, just stop when it seems to be getting a bit complicated (for example, there's no need to know anything about custom procedures at first).

Ehh If you didn't get the basics from metas tutorial you are probably too stupid to script in the first place!
Having been through both the tutorials, I found The Rudiments of Scripting much better than Meta's tutorial for learning scripting.
But when it comes to mapping, Meta rocks.

I don't really get it. I think Intro to D-Mod... is just as good on scripting as Rudiments is. If anything, it's much better, cause it's designed for absolute nubs. I would call it the "Childs' version of Rudiments" lol.
