I was just interested if any one had any theories. I have one on never ending/elongated life. If you know what mitosis is you should understand. During the course of mitosis your cells are getting smaller but they make up for that in numbers. If I'm correct soon enough your cells will get so small they eventually cease to exist. If you can stop mitosis or slow it you would live much longer. Imagine bieng 1000 and your parents start calling you a man. We would need more wars and a different schooling system sadly lots of things would change. We need interstellar travel to do this and stay the same.

I watched this documentary once which had a similar idea, except instead of the cells getting smaller with each successive division, the DNA got increasingly damaged. They said the telomeres of the DNA (end pieces to protect it from damage) gradually got shorter and eventually, after too many divisions, entirely dissapeared, leaving the DNA (more) vulnerable to mutations.

No way, people are getting tons of good ideas all the time. Take a look around Popular Science. Sometimes you have to be on the cutting edge of knowledge to come up with new good ideas, but there's also Quirky, which lets people submit their product ideas, and sometimes the company turns them into actual products.

I come up with the product and they make the money out of it? What a nice concept.

personally i think evolution is an incerdibly stupid and short-sighted theory.
all you have to do is look around you to see that it was brought about by design!! and what about human beings!? heart sytem? the BRAIN!? chance? i think not! plus theres lots of evidance that evolution is plain crap, also one news recently announced that the theory of evolution has been disproved, due to some human teeth being found somwhere that predated the supposed start of evolution, or somthing like that. this aint a religous sermon or anything, had enough of that in the religon thread lol. its just plain obvious that we were created, and i would think evoloution is quite insulting to us AND to the guy who spent ages creating everything so that we could enjoy it! people just create these theorys so they dont have to be good for god or somthin...

Well zeddexx is an ancient he would know. Another idea I had was about dreams. I'm the crazy man from inception. You see there are people like me who can't remember anything they dreamed exept for right before I wake up then there are people who can't remember the beginning of a dream. So for some reason since I was six I thought dreams were fake (exept when I was six I thought I was a dream An alien was having my life as a dream and ween I went to sleep the alien woke up. I think there are different forms of sleep one you are deep in nothingness the second you are close to waking up or just went to sleep in those to stages you dream but only when your somewhat awake. So at midnight you don't dream that's why you don't remember everything.

If He created everything, he must have also created the theories that we have come up with. Otherwise, there is no single entity that created everything. As such, either such a 'guy' could not have possibly created everything, or he created all the evil in the world and all the theories against him.

Well, what I'd say is...

God, as in the creator, the lord, the one in the bible for example, and all that crap is what I call Mother Nature. Just an unknown force, that is all around us. Basically I could tell a bunch of crap about it, but you can just go watch Yoda in Episode 5. It's actually quite awesome and truthful how he explains it, even though it may seem ridiculous.

God as in our God, Gods, and all the mighty theories of how Earth got created, humans got created, all the mythologies is what I call extraterrestrials. Stories that the old humankind has passed on just as *they saw it*. Remember, they didn't have flying saucers back then, and they would see one as perhaps a dragon or a heaven. Hell, perhaps even Olympus Mountain had an extraterrestrial flying machine on top of it, where aliens lived, and the humans who went there, thought of it as some sort of a heaven. I'd say these are the real happenings behind our stories. These stories just got over-exaggerated and grew during time, just like any other story. This one has just had a few thousand more years to do so.
