I'm just saying; Dink smallwood needs black people.
Now I don't want to sound rude but When Seth was creating this game he obviously wasn't thinking.
I like black people and would like to see some in this game. infact how about more people in general? the only thing that lets you tell most people apart is there shirt color.

You can always (ask someone to) make some black people graphics. During the medieval times, there really weren't that many black people around, except as slaves. I'm not a racist, but I don't see black people fitting in Dink.

Yeah... ummm actually I'm gonna have to argue with that. beleive me there were ALOT of black people. Now there werent that many in England and that part of the world but many, many black merchants travled through that area so I at least want to see one once in a while.

I believe Dink is supposed to be based somewhere in England, but there weren't many black merchants around there, but rather many black merchants' slaves.

From the middle east though many black merchants folowed a trade route to England. Now true for the most part most black people in that area were slaves the point being I would like to see a few because wether slave or merchant some were there.

there are three sets of 'people' coming - one (Dan) is already uploaded and awaiting approval and I have a heap of others completed - but - I have one more sprite (suggested by Rabidwolf9) that I want to add to the pile - *chuckles* great sense of humor that guy... I shall also add a 'black' person berfore I release, as I agree with you and have always planned to make some one day Hang in there almost done.

You should have seen V1.00 of Dink, before they replaced the black people with goblins.

I lie, of course. That would have been sufficient grounds to actually suspect the creator of racism.

What about sand tiles and dmods set in desert? It should be simple enough to make turban on existing characters, to make atmosphere better.

I agree with Skull I think... in the medieval Europeanish setting of this game it would seem more like "Oh here's the requisite black guy, good to know this game is very PC".
Kelloggs cereal (for example) has always annoyed me, because whenever they have some promotion they ALWAYS use three children, one white, one black and one Asian/Chinese.

Honestly I don't think the thought of representing every skin tone even occurred to us.

Our immediate concerns were more like "look, are we going to be able to have more than five human characters or what?"

I think Teenage Lawnmower had a better representation of various human flavors though as it was easier to do, just stills made in Poser.

Black people for desert D-Mods would be kinda cool. But just getting more white NPC's would be a blessing.

I also hate how nowadays every TV show, for example, just HAS to have at least one black guy in it. I get it, non-racism for the win, but personally I think it's much more racist to place lots of black guys in medieval England, where they definitely weren't, because "no race should be discriminated".

I'm pretty sure the Merchants should have been Chinese and the guys hanging around the pub should have been black. The Goblins in the Sanctuary should be American Indians. The pirates should be Spanish and the Warriors should be vikings or Scots. Every villain must have an English accent, every hero must have an American accent, and every strange anti-hero character must be reminiscent of Mad Max. You need at least one over-powered, under-clothed, mega-titted woman because women are men too.
That's a Hollywood Hit/ AAA game right there.

Well, me thinks black characters would be useless in original game, but it would be nice for mods. And arabs, and asians. Remember golden buddha. As for arab character, dink was animated in one like one. Can't remember which one...

You're probably referring to one of the 9 gems of life dmods. That sprite was ripped from "Beyond Oasis" for the megadrive, a pretty cool game in its own right.

Black people has also been done, in the Freedmen's Bureau.
