So, I wanna dish out the best for you people, and have decided to create the ultimate version for Historical Hero. This will be the final version, unless some fatal bug will happen. But for this I need help. I need as many people as possible to download the "Historical Hero Version Silver 2.00." from The Dink Network and report about ANY kind of bugs in this thread. Please, report of even the smallest bugs that annoy or/and irritate you, such as depth-que or nohit errors and stuff like that. I need as much help as I can possibly get.

Thank you guys,
Skull.

Please, just go away from ruining this thread. Yes, there is going to be another version, I hope you are fine with that, my lord.

I still haven't finished this DMOD... When I did play it I did find some bugs though, I just can't remember them too well.

What I did find are a lot of holes in the hardness: I first found it in screen 748 (near the bush) and screen 548. Also, I found a screenmatch problem with a bush (579-580), another hole in the hardness in screen 716. The hardness in the left half of screen 110 has holes too... Just like the ridge in screen 739, and 740, and 741... In fact you might just want to inspect all ridges hardness, there are a lot of holes. Also, looking through your map there seems to be a structural problem with the smaller ridges too when you use a similar piece of rock as in screen 548.

There might have been other things, but I didn't make notes last time I played, I might try it again and test it somewhat more intensively.

Thanks Meta.

I didn't find anything problematic with hardness in screen 748, neither with 716. I fixed the other hardness errors as well as the screenmatch bug with the bush. I'm gonna check out all the ridges at some point. I can't see what you mean with the "problem with smaller ridges".

This is just the kind of bug informing I need. Small but annoying bugs. Obviously point out bigger ones too, if you find any.

Let me give you a screenshot of the problem then. The hardness in the lower right corner looks okay in the editor, but you can walk through it in the game.

It doesn't look okay in the editor either from what I can see. A one pixel gap is enough to wiggle through.

Ah yes. The problem was I couldn't see even a one pixel gap.

There isn't a one pixel gap, there's a zero pixel gap. Horizontally and vertically there is no gap, but diagonally there is. Apparently this is still enough for Dink to crawl through.

Anybody found any more bugs that they would wish to report? I've been busy the last few days, hopefully I will be able to check some hardness stuff on weekend.

I'm sorry Skull, I have been too busy with other things to pay any necessary attention on this project. And will be for yet a few weeks. If you feel you are ready to upload the new version before then, feel free to do so.

By the way, you might be interested to know about the bug which allows to buy a throwing axe for credit (probably, introduced in v1.03, at least Silver is affected). It is said to cost 5500 gold, but the option appears there when you have at least 4500 gold in your possession.
However, when the option is choosen, the axe guy actually borrows 5500 gold. If you have less, you still appear to have some gold left after the deal... a negative amount, in fact It decreases as you collect gold, until you reach zero, then the gold increases as usual.
Because the throwing axe makes it much easier to kill monsters and receive gold, one can cheat by buying it with only 4500+ gold, and then quickly get out of 'debt' with the help of axe.
