New D-Mod: Grasp of Darkness
Quiztis releases his first d-mod ever: Grasp of Darkness. He claims it's pretty hard, so... check it out.
I played it until getting owned by the dragon pillbug (should have bought those elixirs, I guess ).
I'll have to finish this later, but I wanted to say, so far it seems like one of the best dmods around.

One of the best? Ever?
I should check this out sooner rather than later then.

Well, I doubt it'll be long enough to really compete with the best dmods, but insofar as being fun to play goes, it's been top-notch so far. (I'm not very far in - hopefully )
"dragon pillbug"
Holy crap, I'm downloading this ASAP!!

I've been looking forward for this one, I'll download it after school
The dragon pillbug is just a bug that casts spells. It's not what you think it is. I've got up to the witch in Rynth Woods who wants me to find some mushrooms.
Aww. Thanks all
It's no complicated scripts or many interactables in this one. Mainly tough bossess, fighting and annoying areas. Also a secret ending.

I already finished it... didn't get the secret ending.
Scratcher is right, it's one of the best mods to come out in a while! You've done great job with mapping and balancing enemies, but it's a little on the short side I think. The main quest feels about one or two areas too short.
But I applaud you nevertheless

Thanks, synbi. Yeah, it's a little short. Thought about making the world larger and some more enemy encounters. (and not just bosses) But I really wanted to release it so I did. The secret ending is vast. Go for it!
That dragon pillbug got loads of hp
Anyway, the presentation of the story looks very professional so far, I'm impressed!

Listening to the two drunks in the bar is the best part so far . . .
Oh really?
Thanks iplaydink, there will probably be a sequel and the dragon pillbug part is the most annoying boss encounter. Has anyone found the secret ending yet? (or the secret world that is)

I'm looking for the mushroom now (This forest is really annoying xD)... I'll review after getting to the end (And after getting the secret one )
EDIT: Those tiles in the forest... And the tree sprites.. And all the screenlocks; It reminds me of 'The Bomb'

I'm really looking forward to play this, Quiztis. I've always had a feeling that if you released a D-Mod it would be exceptional. Soon I'll be able to judge it.
I reckon there needs to be a Dragon Bonca next. Then a Dragon Slayer, then Dragon Dragon.
Oh, and Dragon Slimes
Oh, and Dragon Slimes
The details are superb on the maps that I saw, some of the best around. The only bugs I found were mostly hardness errors that can be easily fixed. Hopefully tomorrow I can defeat the dragon pillbug!
P.S. The gold in the smashed barrel by the guy who sells Herb Boots says "25 Gold" but gives you 50 so you can instantly buy the boots.

Where do you get bombs from? I can't find any. I got the "secret ending".
Behind trees There is at least two of them. - You need one to get the bow and arrow.
Thanks all! Yup, there's 2 of them. One to get the bow and arrow and one to get to the bonus level. (which is awesome)
Woah, that's an awesome review iplaydink, informative indeed. Much to think about when I'll begin with the sequel.
Try to survive (with helixers) the dragon pillbug and when the bonca arrives use it to defeat it (after bonca attacks pillbug pillbug will harm bonca)
Btw I found a bug:
If you kill the dragon pillbug before the script runs out (the script that spawn bonca and prints text when the pillbug(?) talks) it will keep running under the following cutscene on the other screen, and spawn a bonca there eventually. You should attach the script to a sprite on the screen so it will die with it or kill it when the pillbug dies.

It's pretty much impossible to kill the pillbug before the script runs out anyway. The wizard was talking along the battle.
You have to lower the health to like 10, or change your strength to 50+ kill it that fast, but it's still a bug
I did the first of those after failing like 100 times; I changed the health of the pillbug in the script

Yeah I encountered this as well. I set my strength to 54 or something, and was wondering why there was a monster attacking the king afterwards.
Come on guys, the dragon pillbug wasn't that hard
The slime boss was a beast. You try getting overly greedy for that supposed "extra exp bonus" with only 2 attack to kill those little fast blighters, and in the end, after failing more than thirty times, you give up never managing to even kill one of them...

That's why you listen to the warning, synbi.
