Changing buttons?
Is there a way to change the configuration of the controls to make it so that I can interact with A, punch with S, and use magic with D, etc?
...Switch the controls with the default script. That seems to work fine.
It's on the left side of the editer.
What editor are you using?

Click on scripts of the left side of the screen.
What dmod are you opening? Because I'm trying to open the normal dink, and it has no scripts there for some reason.
Scripts in Regular Dink are encoded to .d format. You can't read them.
And Skorn is a ducking noob who doesn't know what he is even talking about, you set the keys with separate scripts labeled Key-||.c (replace || with the number corresponding to the key you want) and code in what you want to happen when the key is pressed. Use debug mode to check which key is which number.
Do us all a favor and ignore skorn completely, many of us do.

Haha, thanks, bro.
Edit: Do I just make my own keys or....what? Like, there aren't any key- .c files in the dink story folder.

Run Dink or any Dmod in debug mode and press the key you want the number for, and it should tell you. Just press and hold down the key and write down the text that appears in the top left corner of the screen, you can do it on the main menu even.
Right, so then how do I change the function of keys, and what not?
@ Skorn - I'm not talking about the start/continue/quit buttons, I'm talking about the buttons on the keyboard and their functionality, and changing it.

Redink1 saves the day again: Keycodes!
...But I'm not sure how to go about changing the default keys, or even if it's possible.

@ExDeath...Probably go a bit easy on Skorn: I know he's been a jerk and noob in the past, but we all need a second chance in this life.
Just shut up, of course you agree.
Im just about ready to leave ya know.
Do you think anybody cares, skorn? Honestly, if you left, it would make life a hell of a lot more bearable, though less funny as we will have one less thing to laugh about.
You can't change the interaction button to work with a key script. If there's a way to call the armed item/magic script, you could run its use function, but I'm not sure if that is possible.
You could alternatively check to see what item is armed and then run an external("item","use"), but obviously you would have to fix that for every DMOD with new items/magics. Even then, using a key script could cause some problems and using the bow would be impossible this way.
If you can't stand the controls, the game does support a game pad/controller. That's probably the best option. Or just stick with it. The controls will grow on you eventually.
