Push and Pull
This is mainly a development file of a new push and pull system, wrapped around a very basic DMOD for demonstration purposes.
Playing the DMOD it becomes instantly clear how impressive the scripting is on this - 10/10
As a DMOD, well, it is just a showcase, but you can talk with a couple of wizards - just a shame Phisbo didn't react to being punched, but hey, you quickly learn how to push and pull rocks around, so there is a nice learning curve involved which makes the play-ability enjoyable enough. Shame you can't have the new position of a sprite be remembered when leaving any screen, it seemed to be only there on the rock you push around a fence/maze - I guess this would require a little more variable usage... There is no overall goal or task to complete in the DMOD which would've been nice, like perhaps a final timed exercise in which things or NPCs needed to be placed in certain positions to restore them to a moveable NPC? - 8/10
One thing I think might help would be to modify the graphics of the pulling action. Perhaps as 'simple' as turning the hands 180 degrees in the graphics for pushing, although that would require editing 40 .bmp files which is tedious to say the least, and not really that simple. Besides it's not like the pushing hands always touch the sprite if it is low, like the money etc.
Be interesting to see this adopted in a non-development DMOD.
