This file basically has a few image templates for making hills and cliffs, a tile 'grid' (that looks rather like an optical illusion with the two colours) and some example scripts.
First, the templates:
They were good, they did what they were supposed two. The provided instructions were alright, and I knew exactly what to do (once I read past the random stuff). I remember when I had to make custom hills for DESA, and I was sitting at my desk for hours with MS Paint clearing out a template. If I had these, it would have been just Copy, Paste, Save, Done!
It looks like a lot of effort was put into these, the edging on the hills is really good, although the top of the cliff is a bit rough and grassy. The tile grid was confusing, and could have had a better choice in colours.
Also included were some example scripts, and basic tutorials. Probably not the best, especially the tips file (basically the only tip it has is to plagiarise) but I won't let that bring down it's overall rating. I think it is good for beginners.
Instruction:
7/10 - It told me what to do, but had a lot or random stuff
Images:
8/10 - Good quality templates, with a little modification could easily allow for hill transitions. Tile grid not so good.
Extras:
7/10 - Some good scripts, with "okay" advice
Overall:
7.3/10
