Dink Smallwood Goes Trick-Or-Treating
Dink goes Trick-or-Treating is a tiny D-mod in which you have to find as many candy as possible.
Plot: You have to figure out which costumes are most appreciated by the owners of the several houses in order to get candy.
Good: Changing costumes is real fun. There are no bugs. At first I thought it was impossible to get the amount of candy needed in the time given, but it is not: it is a matter of racing against the clock and that makes it exciting. The pumpkin you choose is nicely carved by mum and the bigger one you choose, the bigger one you get.
Not so good: The music could have been a bit more eerie. Once the time is up, the game stops, so if you want to experiment a bit while wearing costumes, you have to do it in the time given.
I got a bit bored with starting over and over again.
Remark: I regret that once the game is finished I won't play it again because the biggest fun lies in figuring out the puzzle and once you know that there is no need to do it again.
Overall: Good idea which is nicely worked out.
Fit for: Those who don't mind puzzling and have a few minutes to spare.

Arcade-like D-Mod. Dink is a kid and it's Halloween. Pick a costume and get candy from neighboring houses. You have to get 200 pieces of candy in 120 seconds. Hard, but do-able. Definately a weird D-Mod
Good: Virtually no real bugs that I could find. You can change costumes so you can get more candy from one neighbor. Some costumes are better than others.
Not super good: Small, not many new graphics, MIDI's almost non-existent.
Story/Plot: Resonable for the theme.
Graphics: A carved pumpkin but noting else new.
Midis: Well, not much. No new sounds.
Lasting Appeal: Short, but good for a short diversion.
Overall: Good for people who like Halloween and want to kill a few minutes. Really not too bad.

An arcade DMOD of sorts. You get to find a pumpkin and then go trick or treating to see how much candy you can get. You can choose different costumes and they seem to produce different results. I only played through once with 2 sets of costumes, but that was enough for me – I couldn’t be bothered playing again.
Graphics: a carved pumpkin, very basic
Map: No detail
Music: nothing new
Sounds: nothing new
Gameplay: repetitive and tedious
Overall 6.5 out of 10

This is what a short dmod should be!
No need to have a fancy new graphics. All you need is a simple idea and excute it well.
Dink goes to trick-or-treat. If you can get more than 200 candies within 2 minutes, you then really beat the game. Different costumes at different houses can let Dink have different candies. If you can't get it in time, try to read Walkthrough.
For all the newbies out there, you can create a pretty cool dmod without many troubles. This is a great example.
