Interesting. Say, why does the core of the family have to be the mother, anyway? Does she have some genetic predisposition that makes her more suited to raise children? Isn't the important part that there is at least one parent available - preferably both - not that the mother is?
I agree that people should spend more time with family and less time at work, however.
