: :  if someone is going to release a Dmod then maybe

: :  you can do something to replace

: :  the old

: :  "huh?" "I'm bored" "not much hapening here"

: :   "i'm fairly sure I can't talk or use that"

: :  or is it inpossible?

: Good point. I hate that too, to see the same time and time again. Too bad it is indeed impossible too change it: it's written in the Dink engine, so you'd have to hack Dink to be able to change it. dangit

As far as hacking, it would be an extremely easy thing to change, it's just plain text stored in dink.exe. (though the comment would have to stay the same length if done the easy way) But when you think about trying to put that in a d-mod, it's a lot harder. Who really wants d-mods to be modifying exe files?

Inceidently, it's easy to change the "hocus pocus!", "I'm not a wizard.", you just create a "spell" that makes Dink say that and give him that when he has no other magic.

You might think you could set up some sort of large sprite that Dink would be talking to when no other sprite was there, but this doesn't seem to work well, either he can't talk to anything else, or you get the same old messages. I wouldn't say it's impossible to make a workaround like that work though. Maybe I just haven't tried the right hing yet, huh?
