I never said that I believed that the government was perfect... and in a lot of ways it is pretty bad, but input and debate can make A More Perfect Union, my friend (imagine a global union).
Say that people forget their woes and grievances, but this may never happen. I wish to believe in the elite only because otherwise I would be undoubtably depressed at the state of things... It is clear that what is being done by the current generation is wrong, and this will need to change, because our generation will be the one to deal with all the crap that has been construed on us through the last 200 years. We will be the ones effected by global-warming, we will be the ones effected by global strife, we will be the ones that will leave a lasting impact on the generation after- but age old ideals are in decline and we are in a state of moral crisis. People look to Christ only as a reason to say that they are right, but not as a figure of the divine rules of courtesy, respect, and forgiveness. Also, I think that it is unfair to say that I am not allowed to engage in a philosophical debate when I feel the need. It keeps my mind sharp, and, Josh, if you have failed to notice as of yet- this is the off-topic forum, so I can post whatever the Hell I want... if you don't like it, then don't read it- it really does not matter if you are too daft to realize that I do believe in my opinions, and not because someone or some book told me so. I have expiremented with several different view-points, with such stages as being an Anarchist, a Capitalist, an Elitist- I find that my current view is really more personal and cannot be derived from any name or idea. While there are philosophers that I agree with to an extent, there are none that truly reveal my beliefs. This is what makes me and Draconic different. While Draconic becomes the acolyte to anothers disciplines, I make my own. It does not mean that you necessarily have to believe me, but do keep in mind that I wish to share my opinion and viewpoint, as is just in a rightous world. I could always be wrong, but I never asked you to believe that I am right. Right and wrong are in truth really just words that people use to define whether or not something correlates with their viewpoint or not. You do not agree with me, and that is fine, as long as you agree with yourself you will in turn become a better person. The trick is to liten to one's heart and formulate your own hypotheses based on real life experiences, not just philosophical debates or evangelists. If you are lost and feel the need for someone else to tell you what to think, that is fine, but I will not approve of it. While it is part of my agenda that I convince others that my ideas will, in fact, be beneficial to not just this generation, but the human race- I most humble myself and realize that it is not with one voice that the human race is represented, but with all the voices chattering in different words. Do I believe that the world is perfect? Far from, and in reality I doubt that it is really achievable, but, philosophically speaking, it is a good point to try and work towards, because there is always the chance to motivate people to try and improve the world as we know it now. Also, we do have examples of the workings of a perfect world. Read Plato's The Republic or Moore's Utopia if you need evidence of my point.
Thus, do not condone me for pushing my opinions. As you say, there is human nature, and I believe that it is also a part of human nature for one to be expressive of their ideas. If one cannot express their own ideas and be able to show how it is different for another's, then there is really no point in even thinking. So if you do not want to think for yourself, don't do it. Just turn on your television and allow yourself to be brainwashed- it will make it easier for those of us that are inspired to try and be a leading influence.
