Well, just that they seemed as though they were a race at odds with each other, though they themselves denied it... Also they are constantly babbling about philosophy, nature, and history... which I found kind of slow going. The songs and poems are neat, but as in LOTR, I tended to skip past them and read the passage later, otherwise it seemed to me to disturb the plotline. Dwarves are irratible, but they at least have attitude, and still do stupid things, even though they are also supposedly ancient and infinitely wise... And don't get me started with Roran... if you recall the first book, Galbatorix is described as going on such a quest for vengence of his so-called friends, and ended up destroying order as we know it. While Roran's character may not have been demurred as such, he has become cold and fanatical... in other words, a zealot to his own cause, almost begging to be a martyr.
