The whole point of the "boring" contributor rankings is to dissuade people from posting too much junk in order to reach higher ego-boosting rankings.
Why don't you set the rankings by the numbers of quality files released? This way, the people that want to reach higher ego-boosting rankings, will have to produce many quality files... which is good for the comunity.
