One scroll piece is acquired by defeating the cannibals (south desert, past the fire) and one by resolving the missing daughter subquest (oasis). The other one you get by completing both fetch quests that Anbar gives you at the inn. If you open up the mysterious box before you give it to him (and hey, it's pretty tempting) then you can buy the scroll piece from the shady guy on the bottom floor of the inn instead.
